Barrett has a five-game total of 1,197, a 239.4 average, to lead the first event of the 2019 PBA World Series of Bowling X at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan.

Barrett started the round with games of 257, 207, 222 and 211 before finishing with the perfect game. He leads PBA Hall of Famer Chris Barnes, who is second with 1,186.
The 135-player field will return at 6:30 p.m. Eastern today live on FloBowling for the second five-game round of qualifying. After 10 games, the top 16 players will advance to single-elimination match play Monday.
Rounding out the top five after the opening round was Ryan Shafer in third with 1,184, Bill O’Neill in fourth with 1,176 and Nick Pate in fifth with 1,172.
Greg Ostrander currently sits on the cut line in 16th place with 1,146, a 229.20 average.
