Bohn's Back: Parker Top Qualifer At PBA50 DSCL Classic
Parker Bohn III is back this week at the 2019 PBA50 Dave Small’s Championship Lanes Classic and took the lead Monday as qualifying concluded.
After missing a couple events to support his children in their bowling events, Parker Bohn III is back this week at the 2019 PBA50 Dave Small’s Championship Lanes Classic and took the lead Monday as qualifying concluded.
Bohn finished qualifying with a 16-game total of 3,572, a 223.25 average, and, along with the rest of the players in the top eight, earned a bye into the second round of match play at the event in Anderson, Indiana.
Because of family obligations, Bohn missed the PBA50 South Shore Open and the PBA50 River City Extreme Open. He was traveling with his family to watch his kids compete in the Teen Masters and Junior Gold Championships.

Also earning byes into the second round of match play Monday were Ryan Shafer, Bill Watson, Doug Becker, Lennie Boresch Jr., Michael Haugen Jr., Walter Ray Williams Jr. and Pete Weber.
The players who qualified ninth through 24th earned a spot in the first round of matches, while those who qualified 25th through 32nd plus the next eight highest super seniors will bowl a cashers round Tuesday morning.
All rounds of the event are being broadcast live exclusively on FloBowling with the stepladder finals scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. Eastern.
Shafer finished second after qualifying with 3,548, just 24 pins behind Bohn. Watson, who led going into the final game, finished third with 3,535 after shooting 204 in his last game. Bohn closed with 248, while Shafer had 233 as both players went ahead of Watson.
Becker qualified in the fourth position with 3,525, while Boresch was fifth with 3,477.
