Ron Mohr, who has dominated PBA60 competition over the past few years, took the opening-round lead Wednesday at the 2019 PBA60 Dick Weber Championship.
Ron Mohr, who has dominated PBA60 competition over the past few years, took the opening-round lead Wednesday at the 2019 PBA60 Dick Weber Championship.
Mohr fired a seven-game block of 1,628, a 232.57 average, to top the field of 98 bowlers age 60 and older at Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The final seven games of qualifying will take place Thursday before the top 32 bowlers advance to the first round of match play beginning Thursday afternoon. All rounds of the event are being broadcast live on FloBowling.
Mohr got out of the gates quick, starting with games of 246 and 249, before finishing with 204, 268, 245, 194 and 222 to lead by nine pins.
David Axon sits in second place with 1,619, while Darryl Bower is third with 1,599. Harry Sullins is fourth at 1,583, and Mark Williams is next at 1,556.
