After bowling seven games of qualifying Saturday, the players faced a marathon day Sunday of five games in the cashers round and 12 games in match play to reach the stepladder.
Leading by 124 pins heading into the position round game of match play, Daugherty had basically locked up the top seed with a game to go. In the final game, he defeated Wilkins, 201-185, to make it official.
Wilkins posted a 9-2-1 record on his way to earning the second seed with 5,533. The native of Canada is seeking his first career PBA Tour title.
Ciminelli, who is back this weekend after serving a two-event suspension by the PBA, earned the third seed with 5,509 and an 8-4 record.
Smallwood, who will meet Ciminelli in the opening match of the stepladder, was fourth with a 7-5 record and 5,474 total.
