The inaugural FloBowling ATX Invite will take place Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. Eastern with the top eight players from the FloBowling PBA Summer Tour competing for a top prize of $25,000. To get you prepared for the competition, we are taking a closer look at each of the players in the field.

After dealing with what he described as a nightmare start to 2019, Sterner enters the FloBowling ATX Invite in a much happier place these days.

Sterner was able to qualify for the ATX Invite thanks to his victory at the PBA Illinois Open, the only event of the summer that offered double points. The win was a culmination of months of hard work to change his grip.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” Sterner said. “I’m excited to bowl anything next because six months of feeling like you can’t bowl is a nightmare. But I did what I could, got all I could and learned from it.”

In addition to the win at the Illinois Open, Sterner also cashed in three other events during the summer, finishing seventh at the PBA Bowlerstore Classic and the PBA Wolf Open. He finished 28^th at the PBA/PWBA Striking Against Breast Cancer Mixed Doubles to earn a check there as well.

How to watch the ATX Invite

The FloBowling ATX Invite will be broadcast live exclusively on FloBowling. The action begins with the opening round of the bracket at 2 p.m. Eastern on Sept. 21 and the best-of-three final starting at approximately 5 p.m. Eastern.
