PBA League Postponed, Draft To Happen Sunday
The 2020 PBA League has been postponed but will still be held at Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine, later this year.
The 2020 PBA League has been postponed until later this year, but the draft will go on as scheduled this Sunday live on FloBowling.
The 2020 PBA League Draft powered by BowlerX will take place Sunday at 7 p.m. Eastern as 26 players will be drafted onto the 10 teams in the league.
Originally scheduled for July 20-23, the PBA League competition will happen at a to-be-determined date this fall. The PBA says the plan is to keep the event at Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine.
As of now, the state of Maine still has a 14-day quarantine order in place for out-of-state visitors with no indication of when that order will be lifted. Combining that fact with the travel difficulty for international players, had no real choice but to postpone the event.
Bowling fans will still get the opportunity to watch as the 10 team managers for the PBA League fill up their rosters this Sunday.
Expansion teams Las Vegas and Brew City will each pick five players, while the other eight teams in the league will select two players. The existing teams were able to protect up to three players.
There are 52 players eligible to be drafted based on a rolling points list from the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Of those, half will make their way onto teams on Sunday.
