For both of these guys, this season has overall probably been a little bit of a disappointment as neither has been able to win a title.
Barrett had a couple good back-to-back tournaments when he finished sixth at the 2020 PBA Oklahoma Open and then ninth at the PBA Tournament of Champions. He also was third in the PBA Doubles and had an eighth-place finish at the PBA World Championship.
Otherwise, Barrett hasn’t really been in the hunt this season as the rest of his finishes were outside the top 20.
Outside of his exceptional third-place finish at the U.S. Open, the 2020 campaign has been on the rough side for Allen. His best finish outside of the U.S. Open was 16 at the PBA Tournament of Champions.
Who has the edge? Neither guy has thrown many shots at Bowlero Centreville that truly matter, so this is a total toss-up. Overall stats lead toward Barrett as having the edge in this match.
