It has been a break-out season for Troup as he’s won three titles, doubling his number of career titles in the span of about six months.
After winning the 2020 PBA Jonesboro Open, Troup went on to win the PBA Doubles Championship with Jesper Svensson in February. He got his third title in July when he won the PBA Tour Finals.
Standing in Troup’s way is Pate, a hungry youngster on the PBA Tour. Pate squeaked into the PBA Playoffs as the No. 23 seed and has already over-achieved by winning his first match over Darren Tang.
Who has the edge? This one seems pretty easy. Given the momentum Troup has this season and going up a relatively green Pate, the edge goes to Troup. Bust out the hair pick!
