2019 Season

A down year financially (he earned six figures in each of the previous two seasons), Kent was still able to get to 11^th in competition points thanks largely to finishing in the top 10 in three of the five majors. He turned a poor January into a tremendous February, then spent the rest of the year in contention but never really threatening to win, although he did finish third in the Wilmington Open in August.

2020 Outlook

Kent closed 2019 with a 24^th-place finish in the U.S. Open and, although it’s a stretch to say the momentum of another match-play appearance in a major will last three months, Kent knows what he can do and won’t let himself get off to another bad start in 2020. As a long-time member of Team USA, Kent should feel comfortable in the International Training & Research Center (ITRC) in Arlington, Texas, then move up I-35 to Shawnee, Oklahoma, where Kent won the 2017 Oklahoma Open. From there, it’s no longer a stretch to say Kent will have momentum on his side as he moves into Big February.
