2020 Season

Finishing in the top 10 in three of the four majors, including a fourth-place finish in the World Championship (Lavoie was also one of just five players to qualify for match play in all three animal-pattern events), helped Lavoie to the first-man-out-of-the-byes slot for the season-ending Playoffs. After eliminating Norm Duke, Lavoie rolled his second career televised 300 to defeat Sean Rash – the only other player in PBA history with two televised 300 games in title events – before being eliminated by Jason Belmonte in the quarterfinals.

2021 Outlook

With four career titles and two majors (both U.S. Opens), Lavoie is a single title away from being performance eligible for the PBA Hall of Fame. The season opens with the Players Championship in which Lavoie finished seventh in 2020. If Lavoie’s confidence remains as high as it was during the PBA Playoffs, his fifth career title will come sooner than later.
